Recycle unwanted holiday lights in South Barrington

South Barrington residents can recycle unwanted holiday lights at village hall.

A labeled bin will be set up outside the building, 30 S. Barrington Road, through March 8, 2026, Mayor Paula McCombie said in a promotional email.

People can drop off strings of lights and extension cords.

Other types of lights and bulbs shouldn’t be put in the bin, but they can be dropped off at the front desk when the village hall is open.
