Reject hate speech
There seems to be an atmosphere of revenge and hate in our current political administration which is filtering down and permeating into our society.
Neither party is exempt from absorbing the need for counter attacking each other’s actions and opinions and, as a result, people in general seem to be more opinionated and less willing to constructively express or dialogue about their frustrations.
Is this culture of fear, hate, and revenge translating into more violence and shootings across our country? Can we change this climate from the top down or from the bottom up? Perhaps, but only if we’re willing to listen, measure our rhetoric, see both sides, and work toward consensus and cooperation not conflict. Free speech, not hate speech.
