Paws and furs hit the runway at annual dog costume contest
All types and breeds of costumed dogs converged Saturday on the Dan Schimmel Pavilion in Willow Stream Park in Buffalo Grove to compete in the annual Canine costume contest and search for prizes in the doggy egg hunt.
The Buffalo Grove queens served as the judges for the costume contest as the dogs and owners strolled across the stage.
Prizes and awards were given for the unique and creative costumes.
The event has been going on for more than 20 years.
