D300 Food Pantry becomes the newest Seigle Foundation grant recipient

Seigle Foundation is awarding $100,00 in grants to the following food related charities: Northern Illinois Food Bank, Food for Greater Elgin, Fox Valley Food for Health and D300 Food Pantry.

Nikki Kuhlman, the D300 Food Pantry president, stated: “We are honored to receive this $30,000 grant from the Seigle Foundation to launch our Healthy Families Project. Their partnership enables us to provide consistent access to nutritious foods like eggs, yogurt, cheese, and grains — items that are rarely donated but vital for growing children and strong families.”

“This investment ensures that hundreds of families across the School D300 community will not only have enough food, but the right food to support healthier habits, academic success, and long-term well-being,” Kuhlman said. “We are deeply grateful to the Seigle Foundation for standing with us to fuel healthier futures together.”

The Seigle Foundation is interested in supporting the provision of basic food needs. This work may include the direct provision of food, as well as other efforts to address food insecurity.

In addition to food, Seigle Foundation is focused on housing, education, and the arts. Nonprofit organizations serving the Elgin and Dundee communities are eligible to apply. For more information see SeigleFoundation.org.
