Community Crisis Center celebrates 50 years of hope with Anniversary Raffle
The Community Crisis Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking a half-century of unwavering support for individuals and families in crisis across northern Illinois and the Fox Valley region.
Since its founding in 1975, the center has provided critical services including a 24-hour crisis hotline, temporary shelter, individual and group counseling, medical and legal advocacy, financial assistance, and more.
To commemorate this milestone and raise funds for continuing services, the center is holding a 50th Anniversary Raffle. Raffle tickets are on sale for the chance to win one of several prizes:
• First prize: $5,000 cash

Founded in 1975, the Community Crisis Center is one of the oldest domestic violence shelters in Illinois and a pioneering force in organizing both the Illinois and National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Each year, the center supports thousands of individuals, last year alone:
· Providing 47,610 meals to 1,089 households
· Distributing 707 coats to 257 families
· Delivering 55,838 diapers to 400 households
· Delivering over $700,000 in rental assistance to prevent eviction and maintain housing.
As the center enters its 50th year, these programs remain the lifeline for those facing abuse, homelessness, financial hardship, and emotional crises.
The raffle proceeds will support ongoing operations and programs, including the 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, prevention education, and more. By purchasing a chance to win, community members are directly helping those in crisis.
