U-46 hosts Marching Band Showcase Oct. 16
Members of the marching bands at Elgin Area School District U-46’s five comprehensive high schools, their band directors, U-46 students, families, and community member will be coming together for the U-46 High School Marching Band Showcase, featuring performances from each marching band.
It will be on Thursday, Oct. 16, at Streamwood High School’s Millennium Field, 701 W. Schaumburg Road. Spectators should use the entrance closest to Sutton Road to park in the student lot, and they will enter through the gate closest to the ticket booth.
Admission is free. Gates open to the public at 5:30 p.m. with the national anthem and welcome at 6 p.m.
Streamwood High will lead the performances at 6:15 p.m., followed by Elgin High at 6:45 p.m., Larkin High at 7:15 p.m., Bartlett High at 7:45 p.m., and South Elgin High at 8:15 p.m.
U-46 serves families in 11 communities: Bartlett, Elgin, Hanover Park, South Elgin, Streamwood and Wayne, as well as portions of Carol Stream, Hoffman Estates, St. Charles, Schaumburg, and West Chicago.
