Obsession, makeovers and mysteries with Wego Drama’s production of ‘The New Margo’
On Oct. 17-18, Wego Drama at West Chicago Community High School continues its season with “The New Margo,” a suspenseful thriller.
The play tells the story of young college women who are obsessed with crime thrillers. They become confused about why one of the group has undergone a major makeover. They collectively try to discover why the “new” Margo has joined the group.
The Wego Drama season theme is “Life is a Mystery!” so be ready for some shocks and thrills.
Student director Jordin Crudup said, “I’m glad that I have the opportunity to do something new. I feel proud of the cast and crew for the work that we are doing. I am exceptionally proud to share it with the community. I hope everyone comes and enjoys the thrills.”
The company of actors and crew for the show includes from Carol Stream: Ava Bloniarz and Micaela Jaramillo Acosta; from West Chicago: Abigail Ballard, Perla Bucio, Charlotte Conger, Jordin Crudup, Dilan Galvan, Daisy Munoz, Elisa O’Brien, and Emma Duran Rosales; and from Winfield: Tyler Benton and Ja’Nyah Villa.
Technical direction and design is by Christopher Jensen with Mark Begovich as the Wego Drama sponsor. “The New Margo” is written by Stephen Gregg and presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing, Woodstock.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18, at West Chicago Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago.
Tickets are available at the door. The price is $10 or free for West Chicago Community High School students.
