A commander of hate and divisiveness
In the Fencepost of Sept. 17, a letter appeared from Mr. Nick DiGiovanni bemoaning the Daily Herald’s attempt at being honest with the American people by pointing out Mr. Trump’s blatant politicking over the sad death of another American at the point of a gun. I guess Mr. DiGiovanni thinks everything Trump says is above criticism, because after all, he walks on water, doesn’t he? And shouldn’t everybody know that?
And then there was Trump, standing beside Charlie Kirk’s widow at his memorial, listening to her forgiving the killer, telling her in front of the audience how he disagrees because he hates everybody who doesn’t worship him and wants nothing but the worse for them and calls them ugly names to prove it.
Now I ask you, is this how you really feel about anyone who doesn’t like you? Why would you not agree that, with rhetoric like that, Mr. Trump is not the commander-in-chief of hate and divisiveness? The man does everything he can to make people dislike him and give them reason to equate him with Herr Hitler and then he uses the resultant animosity and chaos as a bludgeon against his opponents.
Will America survive the dark cloud he has cast over our country for the last 10 years and going forward? Don’t we all hope so?
