Tell what is happening

One night last week in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, Blackhawk helicopters hovered, ICE agents rappelled down and others got out of unmarked vehicles and raided an entire apartment building. According to reports, residents were zip tied and forced out. Several children were included, and some people were nude. When asked by a reporter about the children one agent reportedly replied with an expletive about “the kids.”

None of this was in the paper on the following Friday or Saturday, yet there were two articles that Saturday about protesters being arrested in Broadview and Kristi Noem being there, as well as an article about men impeding the work of federal agents.

I am appalled at the overt disregard for the rule of law and the cruelty of our current administration, and I think it’s time that The Daily Herald begin informing the public about what is happening.
