Lake Zurich hosting inaugural Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade & Expo

Dog lovers and their pets are invited to celebrate Halloween with costumes, treats and fun at Lake Zurich’s inaugural Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade & Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Staples Park, 510 Red Bridge Road.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. Smaller or older pups can take a short stroll and others can follow a slightly longer route.

Best, funniest and most creative costume, best pet and owner duo and best group costumes are featured. A pet expo featuring food vendors, rescue organizations and health-focused “pet talks” follow the parade.
