Neighboring churches in Elgin host fall fundraisers Oct. 18

Two Elgin churches located at the intersection of Randall Road and Highland Avenue invite the community to stop by their annual fall fundraisers on Saturday, Oct. 18.

St. Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church on the southeast corner hosts “Treats & Treasures” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit vendors offering holiday gifts and browse tables of home and seasonal décor, along with handcrafted items, jewelry, and vintage collectibles, as well as home-baked desserts and sweet treats.

Drive across Randall Road and visit Journey of Hope UMC’s popular “Gingerbread Bazaar” between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. where local artisans will display high quality, handcrafted gift items. While there, enjoy a complimentary slice of gingerbread, purchase a light lunch, and shop at their bake sale.

All proceeds will support the mission and outreach ministries of both churches. Learn more at sthugh.net and johumc.org.
