A qualified candidate for historical recognition

I’m hoping that the historical gallery of DuPage County truly reflects the increasing diversity of people and communities within our county. Given that the demographics have substantially changed over the last 12 years, there needs to be more representation of our diverse population. In this spirit I highly recommend the inclusion of Ms. Sadia Covert in the gallery. She is a highly qualified candidate for inclusion as a woman, and as the first Muslim elected to the DuPage County Board. She has been a valuable member of the board and represents bipartisan guidance and action during her time in office.
