Signarama opens in Volo, offering custom sign services to local businesses
Businesses and organizations across western Lake and McHenry counties now have a new resource for custom signage and branding.
Lake County resident and entrepreneur Steve Trkla has opened a new Signarama in Volo to help businesses boost visibility and strengthen marketing through creative, high-quality custom signage solutions.
Signarama has nearly 40 years’ experience in the sign and graphics industry. Its 1,850-square-foot Volo facility, at 31632 N. Ellis Drive, Unit 107, will provide a full range of signage services including vehicle lettering, window decals, banners, commercial real estate signs, exterior and interior signage, window and wall vinyl graphics, and storefront channel letters.
Trkla previously was president of Torqeedo Inc., an electric marine motors company. Over 17 years, he grew the company to $23 million in revenue while building relationships with more than 400 dealers and 150 boat builders. His career includes 40 years in sales and marketing.
“Volo is one of the fastest-growing towns in the state, and the surrounding counties hold tremendous opportunity,” Trkla said. “My goal is for our location to serve as the neighborhood sign shop where businesses and organizations can count on exceptional customer service and receive signage that helps them grow and succeed.”
Situated at the intersection of routes 12 and 120, Signarama Volo is in one of the town’s busiest areas. The shop is supported by a national network of Signarama owners.
Trkla runs the store with the help of his two daughters, Shelby Parker, who oversees customer service and marketing, and Jordan Trkla, who serves as treasurer. Kevin Murphy is the company’s graphic designer and production manager.
Signarama Volo is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
