Elk Grove artists to hold juried art show Oct. 17-19 at library

The Artists’ Association of Elk Grove Village will hold its 42nd juried art show Friday through Sunday, Oct. 17–19, in the Maternowski room at the Elk Grove Village Library, 1001 Wellington Ave. The exhibition will continue in modified form in the same room through Oct. 31. Parking and admission are free.

Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments at the reception and awards presentation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17.

Affiliated with the Elk Grove Village Park District, the Artists Association holds two juried shows a year, in addition to non-juried monthly exhibitions throughout the year at the library.

The exhibitions engage the community through fine art and promote the work of local artists. AAEGV also hosts monthly art demonstrations by Chicago-area artists at The Pavilion in Elk Grove Village.

Visitors to the juried art show will see a wide range of paintings from watercolor, pastel, oil and acrylic to mixed media. The show aims to feature art to appeal to every taste, and styles vary from abstract to realism.
