Rock for a Cause: Benefit concert in Arlington Heights to support local students in need
Local fan-favorites Green Dads, the dad-powered pop-punk cover band, will headline a high-energy benefit concert to support Good Neighbors Network, a nonprofit organization that provides essential supplies and opportunities for local students from Arlington Heights to Wheeling, Elk Grove Village and all points in between.
The concert will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Home Bar Kitchen and Lounge 1227 N Rand Road, Arlington Heights, with all proceeds going directly to fund scholarships, dorm room supplies, neighbors care closets and holiday programs.
“Being hungry or lacking proper clothes and hygiene supplies should never be a barrier to learning,” said Yeulanda Degala, Founder of Good Neighbors Network. “We are seeing an increase in local students experiencing homelessness than ever before. This concert is about rallying the community to ensure every child has what they need to succeed in school, while also having a great time.”
Known for their spirited performances and nostalgic punk-rock vibes, Green Dads bring both heart and humor to the stage, covering Green Day classics as well as familiar rock and pop hits but always with a pop-punk twist.
Made up of three local dads, Russ Anderson, Chris Gach and John Hamada, who bonded over a shared love of music, their covers have become a staple at community events. This benefit concert promises to be one of their most impactful shows yet.
This event is presented with the support of sponsors: Headliner Sponsor: Drost Kivlahan McMahon & O’Connor, LLC.; Supporting Sponsors: Light Efficiency Design and CUrate Gift Company.
