Open house Wednesday on Lake Zurich theater’s redevelopment

The company planning to redevelop the site of the shuttered Regal Cinemas in Lake Zurich is hosting an open house Wednesday, Oct. 8, to give residents a chance to learn more about its plans.

The event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Beelow’s Steakhouse, 763 S. Rand Road in Lake Zurich.

Attendees will be able to view exhibits and engage in conversation on the redevelopment of the theater at 755 S. Rand Road, which closed in August.

In January, developers pitched a plan to the Lake Zurich village board that called 282 apartments in eight, three-story buildings, as well as a restaurant on the roughly 20-acre property.
