Batavia Art League begins its second year
The Batavia Art League recently celebrated their first anniversary.
Co-founded by Julia Kim, Sarah Reaves and Ann Alexander, the Batavia Art League welcomes anyone with an interest in creating art, and embrace working in all types of mediums.
Past activities have included watercolor, colored pencil and clay tutorial projects, and visiting the “Hokusai” exhibit at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn.
The members often bring individual projects and supplies to work on during the meeting time. The Batavia Art League is a place we teach and learn from each other, not a classroom format.
The group meets weekly on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Paxton Hall in the Congregational Church of Batavia, 21 S. Batavia Ave. (across the street from the Batavia Library). Use the church’s south parking lot and entrance. You do not need to be a member of the church to join. For more information, contact juliakimflowers@yahoo.com.
Regardless of your skill level, whether you are a novice or a seasoned master, the Batavia Art League is a space where artists of all backgrounds can come together and learn, teach and create in the same room.
