We must operate within the law

The United States is a country of laws set forth by the U.S. Constitution. Common sense is rooted in individual experiences, values and social contexts, which vary from person to person. No argument that there's work to do on crime and immigration, but we must operate within the laws, slow as the process is sometimes. This is called democracy. We see it being whittled away every day by those who want to bend it for their own purposes.
