Faith & Blue comes to Montgomery church Oct. 3

Faith & Blue, a law enforcement-faith collaboration, will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 1233 Douglas Ave. in Montgomery.

Co-hosts are Aurora Police Department, Montgomery Police Department and Illinois State Police.

The public is invited. Admission and parking is free.

The event features chats with community policing officers, displays of police equipment, state police accident simulators, Illinois children's ID cards, children's games, a free meal, and a presentation on how to respond to a traffic stop.

The nation's largest annual collaborative policing initiative, Faith & Blue was founded in 2020 by MovementForward, Inc. at the U.S. Justice Department. The effort is designed to reinforce law enforcement-community connections through houses of worship.
