Batavia police seek info about couple offering candy to minors
Two people tried unsuccessfully to offer candy to minors before speeding away on Friday afternoon in Batavia.
The duo, described as a Black female with braids and black and white beads in her hair and a Black man with dreads, wearing a red hoodie, approached a group of minors standing outside at 1303 East Wilson Street just before 6 p.m. on Friday, according to a press release from the Batavia Police Department. The two people asked the minors multiple times if they wanted candy, before a parent yelled at the pair and they drove away.
The vehicle was described as a white Jeep SUV with multiple Hello Kitty items, including a steering wheel cover and sticker on the gas tank cover.
