Jewelry worth $30,000 stolen in Des Plaines

Jewelry valued at approximately $30,000 was reported stolen at a Des Plaines house.

The jewelry had been in a safe in a home on the 100 block of Harding Avenue, police said in a news release.

The theft occurred between Aug. 11 and Sept. 20 and was discovered Sept. 22, police said.
