ECC’s Center for Emergency Services hosts open house and touch-a-truck event Saturday
Elgin Community College’s Center for Emergency Services will host its annual open house and touch-a-truck event Saturday in Burlington.
Visitors can explore emergency-response vehicles and watch demonstrations, including live firefighter training at the CES burn tower, as well as meet local first responders. In addition, families can enjoy food trucks, kid-friendly activities and free ECC swag.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 815 E. Plank Road. Prospective students interested in careers in fire science, criminal justice or emergency medical services are encouraged to attend a 10 a.m. informational session.
Space is limited, and registration is required by visiting Elgin.edu/emergencyservices.
