Woman charged with intent to deliver controlled substance in Bartlett
A Chicago woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Bartlett Wednesday night.
Samiya McDonald, 20, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
McDonald was a passenger in a vehicle police stopped on Lake Street about 9 p.m. due to lighting and registration violations. Police said she was found with a controlled substance packaged in a manner consistent with an intent to deliver it.
McDonald was granted pretrial release; her next court hearing is scheduled for Monday in Rolling Meadows.
