Vanguard Gifted Academy to host Quarterly Showcase Night

Vanguard Gifted Academy, 1078 E. Wilson St. in Batavia, invites the community to its annual Showcase Night on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

It will feature students presenting their projects, inventions, and research, offering a direct look at how a personalized education model empowers gifted children to become confident, creative, and analytical problem-solvers.

During Showcase Night, students share their work with an audience. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with students as they present a wide range of creations, from robotics and complex engineering projects to presentations on their in-depth research. The evening highlights Vanguard’s mission to guide gifted children toward a life of discovery, empowerment, and innovation by nurturing strong mental habits and character traits.

“Showcase Night is a celebration of our students’ growth and ingenuity,” said Amy Trujillo, Head of School at Vanguard Gifted Academy. “It’s an opportunity for our students to practice communicating their ideas and receive valuable feedback from the community, extending their learning beyond the classroom. We are excited for everyone to see the incredible work they've accomplished.”

Vanguard's educational approach is centered on five core principles: collaborative, personalized, metacognitive, creative, and analytical. These principles allow students to work together, pursue their interests at their own pace, and develop the skills needed to tackle complex, real-world problems.

Local businesses and community members are encouraged to attend and witness how Vanguard students are being prepared to become the next generation of leaders and innovators. RSVP by emailing Gifted@vanguardgiftedacademy.org.
