Actors needed for CLC theater production of “39 Steps”

Auditions are available for the College of Lake County theater department’s production of “39 Steps,” adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the novel by John Buchan, from the movie by Alfred Hitchcock and directed by Dylan S. Roberts. Auditions are 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 15 and 16, in the Studio Theatre at the James Lumber Center for Performing Arts, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

Auditions are open to students and community members age 18 and up. Actors should prepare two contrasting memorized monologues, one minute each, and need only to attend one audition. Callbacks will be 6:30-10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Rehearsals will begin the week of Sept. 22 and are held Monday through Thursday evenings, with possible weekend rehearsals based on cast availability, until tech week. Performances are Nov. 7-15. Be sure to have these dates free before auditioning.
