Unintended consequences of wickedness
Why was Charlie Kirk assassinated?
First, he publicly defended the truth and the fundamental principles upon which our country was founded.
Secondly, he did it very effectively on college campuses, persuading young adults to embrace these views.
Thirdly, since those views matched those of Donald Trump, it resulted in many young adults supporting Trump for president.
Then, fourthly, he and the staff of Turning Point USA organized a speaking tour for him on more than a dozen college campuses this academic year. Since his effective arguments defeated the ideas, policies and world view of the “left,” his tour had to be stopped. Thus, he had to be stopped. The rest is history.
However, it’s not over. Most Americans have never heard of Charlie nor of Turning Point. Now they have, and thanks to the internet, they can view one of the many videos of Charlie holding forth in a debate on basic principles. He had planned to speak to several thousand young people, but now he will be speaking to millions of people both here in the USA and others abroad.
These are the unintended consequences of the wickedness, and what I take as the silver lining in this very dark cloud.
