Lombard to host its 19th annual Senior Fair on Oct. 1
The village of Lombard invites residents to attend its 19th annual Senior Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 1. This informative and engaging event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lombard Park District’s Madison Meadow Athletic Center, 500 E. Wilson Ave.
During this year's Senior Fair, attendees will have access to a wide range of services and resources. Health and wellness services will be available, including free health screenings and flu vaccinations provided by local healthcare professionals.
Attendees can also explore local resources, such as housing information and senior programs. The Secretary of State’s Mobile Driver’s License Facility will also be on-site, offering to renew licenses, vehicle registration stickers and state I.D. cards by appointment only. In addition, local agencies, community groups and vendors will provide information about senior-focused products and services, ranging from home healthcare to accessibility solutions.
Complimentary refreshments, including coffee and snacks, will be provided during the event. Additionally, the Lombard Park District will offer free all-day passes to the facility.
“The Senior Fair is one of Lombard’s most popular annual events because it brings together so many valuable services in one place,” said Lombard Village Trustee Jessie Hammersmith, chair of the community relations committee. “We’re proud to organize an event that not only supports our seniors’ health and well-being but also strengthens their connections to the community.”
The Senior Fair is coordinated by the village’s community relations committee, which includes members Tereasa Banks, Pamela Bedard, Lindsey Khan, Michael Ledonne, Kaveria Lezza, Megan McVane, Gladys Piper, Madison Smith and Sharon Vish.
