A call for kindness
I made a post today in the Everything Schaumburg Group on Facebook. Here it is:
“I was at Walgreens at Wise & Roselle yesterday and the girl changing shelf tags was doing an amazing job. I stopped to tell her that I had never seen anyone work faster. She was actually initially nervous because, evidently, some people have complained to her that she was too noisy at pulling the old tags. Once she knew it was a compliment, she had the biggest smile.”
Be sure and tell people you see you are doing a great job. It makes them happy and costs you nothing.
This post currently has 283 likes, 80 loves and 6 cares. That was in less than one day.
I was thinking about why. I think the reason is that there seems to be so little genuine kindness these days, that sharing actual kindness has become special. When is the last time you thanked someone? Or recognize what they do? If not recently, maybe it is time.
