Bike the Des Plaines River Trail on Sept. 27

Des Plaines’ 10th annual Community Bike Ride is set for Sept. 27.

Hosted by the Bike & Walk Des Plaines community group, the ride begins at 10 a.m. in the pavilion within Camp Ground Road Woods, 2001 Berry Lane, Des Plaines. Participants should enter near East Algonquin Road and Joseph Schwab Road.

Riders will follow the Des Plaines River Trail. Folks who’d prefer to enjoy the trail on foot rather than on bicycles are welcome, too.

Riders must have helmets.

Activities, live music and refreshments are planned at the end of the ride.
