Dine, dance and discover Lake Zurich at Rock the Block

The Village of Lake Zurich has announced the return of its popular downtown block party, Rock The Block, from 5-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. This highly anticipated event will take place in the heart of downtown Lake Zurich, transforming Main Street into a vibrant festival where attendees can “Dine, Dance and Discover” everything the area has to offer.

Rock The Block is a signature outdoor event that brings together the community for an evening filled with food, live music and fun. The festival will be held on Main Street, between Old Rand Road and Church Street, with Main Street closed from Church Street to Old Rand Road beginning at 9 a.m. on the day of the event.

Lake Zurich Mayor Tom Poynton, village trustees, staff, local community leaders and residents are expected to attend this celebration of community spirit and local culture.

A covered stage at the corner of Old Rand Road and Main Street will host three live bands throughout the evening:

• 5 p.m.: Rosie and The Rivets

• 6:45 p.m.: The Breakfast Club

• 9 p.m.: Fool House

Admission to the event will be free. A variety of food trucks and local restaurants will be present, offering meals, snacks and desserts for purchase. Alcohol will be available for purchase, with wristbands required for those wishing to consume alcohol. Beer and wine tickets will be $8 each. No outside food, beverages or coolers will be allowed.

Parking will be available in various lots around downtown and on certain side streets. No pets are allowed.
