Germanfest brings flavors of Bavaria to Hoffman Estates with beer, food and music

Platzkonzert Germanfest waltzed into Hoffman Estates with a bang Saturday.

The family-friendly, Oktoberfest-style celebration featured a selection of Hofbrau beer, authentic German food, live music, free children’s activities and more.

The merriment continues from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Event parking is in the front of the Tate & Lyle building, at 5450 Prairie Stone Parkway. Enter the parking lot from Pratum Avenue.
