Marriott Theatre promises timeless classics, new favorites in 2026
“A Little Night Music,” the tuner by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler about romantic entanglements inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s 1955 comedy, “Smiles of a Summer Night,” is among the revivals in Marriott Theatre’s recently announced 2026 main stage season.
Dubbed “a season of timeless classics and new favorites,” it begins Jan. 21, 2026, with “Little Shop of Horrors,” the comedy-horror musical based on Roger Corman’s low-budget cult favorite from 1960.
The Elvis Presley bio-musical “Heartbreak Hotel” featuring “Jailhouse Rock,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Love Me Tender” and other hits, runs April 8 through May 31, 2026.
Next up is “A Little Night Music” (June 17-Aug. 9, 2026), followed by a revival of “Come From Away,” the musical inspired by the real-life events when the small, island town of Gander, Newfoundland, welcomed about 7,000 airline travelers stranded by the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
The season concludes with the family-friendly “Frozen” (Nov. 4, 2026-Jan. 3, 2027), a coming-of-age tale about two sisters adapted from the 2013 Oscar-winning animated film.
Performances take place at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire. Subscriptions and single tickets go on sale Sept. 15. See marriotttheatre.com.
