Appeasement reporting

Apparently, Jim Slusher, Managing Editor of Opinion at the Daily Herald, felt the sting of Gov. Pritzker's words when he said, “I am asking for your courage to tell it like it is,” when discussing Trump's plan to send the Guard to Chicago. As well he should. It's because of Mr. Slusher's tendency to both-sides everything that most of the Herald's readers are unaware that they are currently living in a police state. That's not courage. It's appeasement.
