Attorney charged with forging client’s community service reports

An attorney from South Holland was charged with six counts of forgery alleging she falsified proof of court-ordered community service documents for a client.

An arrest warrant from DuPage County was issued Aug. 26 for Devin Luster, 31, and she turned herself in two days later. She was processed at the DuPage County jail and released.

According to the indictment, Luster reported her client had “completed 247.5 hours of community service” at a Calumet City day care facility.

Luster’s next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 9. She could receive up to five years in prison and up to $150,000 in fines if convicted, prosecutors said.
