Aurora man identified as victim in deadly motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist killed in a crash on along Illinois Route 47 in Kendall County on Saturday has been identified as Trent Pahnke, 31, of Aurora.

Pahnke died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to a news release from the Kendall County coroner’s office.

Illinois State Police responded to the crash at about 7:35 p.m. on Route 47, between Ament and Walker roads in unincorporated Kendall Township, officials said.

According to an investigation by state police, Pahnke was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Route 47 when it hit the front driver’s side of a semitrailer truck as it was traveling north.

Pahnke was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. The truck driver did not report any injuries.

The Illinois State Police did not have any other information about the crash.
