Saving Social Security

As a former benefit and claims authorizer for Social Security for 40 years with a consistent overall accuracy rate of 92-96%, here’s my idea to “save” it.

Eliminate the cap on the annual wages subject to the FICA tax but keep the cap on the annual wages posted to your Social Security record that are used to compute benefits. Currently the caps are the same. This will bring in more money to the trust fund but maintain the level of payout. No other changes are needed. None.
