Put it to a vote

The Alaska Summit concerning Ukraine is over. Presidents Trump and Putin did little to alleviate the conflict. Putin appeared to be willing to talk with Zelensky. Putin would use this charade and the time to gain more territory. It is a good guess the United States would do little to oppose that.

How about we try this since no one has considered what the Ukrainian people want?In all areas controlled by the Russians, the people will be able to vote to be a part of Russia or remain in Ukraine. On the basis of a simple majority vote in each area would decide which country these people would be citizens of.

Obviously, this would be very difficult to provide an honest voting process. Maybe this could be a good project for the United Nations. If Putin would not agree to this vote in a reasonable period of time, then the United States and NATO would rearm Ukraine with all materials they need to extract Russia from their country. Remember, if something isn't done, Poland will be next.
