What deal was reached in Alaska?

The Daily Herald headline on Thursday, Aug. 14, read: “Trump has warning for Putin ahead of summit. President says there will be severe consequences if Russia does not stop the war after meeting.” The Daily Herald headline on Saturday, Aug. 16, read: “No plan to end war in Ukraine after Trump rolls out red carper for Putin.”

As I write this letter on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 16, I have not heard a single word from the White House nor directly from POTUS on new sanctions whether small or severe. So is this another TACO event (“Trump Always Chickens Out”), or was Trump promised a new golf course contract in Ukrainian territories now under Russian military control, or did Putin promise to ship over more gold leaf for Trump's new under-construction WH ballroom, or, most likely, all of the above?
