Celebrating 30 years: GPS Parenting Series offers over 50 programs to support healthy families
The GPS Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families is celebrating 30 years of supporting communities with dynamic, impactful, evidence-based programming.
The current lineup celebrates this special milestone as one of the country’s premier parenting resources, with more than 50 programs to benefit parents and professionals who love and work with youth of every age.
Discover the simple tools and practical strategies to empower and inspire students, caregivers, educators and clinicians alike. Distinguished authors deliver timely guidance dedicated to positive youth development and the well-being of children of every age and stage. Choose from engaging in-person events or attend virtually.
GPS is open to everyone – no sign up needed. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for school staff, and the one-hour programs are presented at noon and 7 p.m. in four different languages to ensure broad accessibility.
Here is a sampling of upcoming events:
• Thursday, Aug. 21 – Organizational Skills for School Success with Sarah Ward and Kristen Jacobsen.
• Tuesday, Aug. 26 – Family Dynamic: How to Support Students to Aim High, Dream Big and Succeed with Susan Dominus in conversation with Dr. Lisa Damour.
• Wednesday, Sept. 3 – Beyond Anxiety: A Creative Path to Fill Your Life with Joy and Calm with Martha Beck.
• Tuesday, Sept. 9 – Living Life at the Center with former Chicago Bull Bill Cartwright and Glenbard West graduate and Big Ten Sportscaster Mike Hall. (This event is in-person only at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.)
