Trump’s motives in D.C.

Crime statistics are lower now than in previous years, but Trump claims he must make the city “safe again” by ordering troops into the streets. At best, he's shaming the “enemy” Democratic governors and mayors. At worst, he's setting the stage to take over the cities and stop the upheaval when he disbands the justice system and overrides the Constitution.

Let's hope it's just the former and not the latter.
