Let It Be Us wins $750K DCFS contract for foster care adoptions

Let It Be Us, Illinois’ leading nonprofit dedicated to foster care and adoption, has been awarded a $750,000 contract by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to enhance adoption placement rates across the state.

Illinois ranks among the lowest in the nation for foster care adoptions, and this initiative will help connect waiting children with permanent, loving families.

As part of this initiative, Let It Be Us in Barrington will launch Illinois’ “Heart Gallery,” an interactive database showcasing the stories and interests of children in need of adoption.

Additional efforts include an improved online adoption exchange, expanded recruitment events, and enhanced support for families and caseworkers.
