Classic Albums Live brings Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ to the Hemmens

The Hemmens Cultural Center and the city of Elgin are proud to present Classic Albums Live, a powerhouse ensemble of world-class musicians who have performed on music’s most prestigious stages and worked alongside some of the industry’s biggest names.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, Classic Albums Live will deliver a note-for-note, cut-for-cut recreation of Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 blockbuster album, “Rumours.”

Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential rock albums of all time, “Rumours” blends rock, pop and folk influences into a polished yet emotionally charged collection of songs born from the band’s own internal drama. The album features such hits as “Don’t Stop,” “The Chain,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Gold Dust Woman” and more.

Classic Albums Live captures every harmony, hook and heartfelt lyric without the distraction of costumes or impersonations.

“All of the focus is on the music,” says founder Craig Martin. Each performance features two acts: the featured album performed in its entirety during the first half, followed by a second set of the artist’s greatest hits.

When Classic Albums Live brings this legendary album to life, you’ll know every word — and you’ll be singing along.

It will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way in downtown Elgin.

Tickets are available online at hemmens.org/tickets or by calling the box office at (847) 931-5900. Group discounts and multi-show packages are available. Parking is free.
