Gowns For Good to host Teen Gown Sale Aug. 24
Gowns For Good, a local nonprofit dedicated to making formalwear accessible and affordable, is hosting its Teen Gown Sale from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at The Haight, 166 Symphony Way in Elgin.
This one-day-only pop-up event will feature a wide selection of gently used and new gowns perfect for homecoming, prom, winter formal, or any special occasion. Shoppers will enjoy deeply discounted prices, with styles and sizes for every body type and personal style.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Female Empowerment Club of Hampshire High School, helping fund programs, events, and initiatives that promote leadership, confidence, and community engagement among young women.
“We love the idea of giving gowns a second life while supporting the next generation of leaders,” said Kari Goodmay, founder of Gowns For Good. “The partnership with the Female Empowerment Club allows us to create a win-win — affordable gowns for teens and impactful funding for an important cause.”
Admission is free. Sign up for an available time via EventBrite.com. Shoppers are encouraged to come early for the best selection. Cash and credit will be accepted.
