Corgi love on display at Hoffman Estates dog race
Crowds gathered around the racing field Saturday during the Shenanigans on the Green festival in Hoffman Estates to cheer on corgis racing to their owners, vying for the overall title.
The festival, organized by Hoffman Estates and Hideaway Brew Garden and Bar, included the dog race for the second year.
This year’s race was exclusively for corgis. Owners registered their dogs and cheered them on to meet them at the finish line.
Paul Young held up his corgi, “Pez,” after finishing first in the final round.
He also received a gift basket and congratulations from the audience as this year’s winner.
