Inside Out Club hosts annual Fall Family 5K fundraiser in Naperville
The Inside Out Club invites families, friends, and neighbors to lace up their sneakers and join the 2025 Fall Family 5K on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Danada Forest Preserve in Naperville.
This annual event blends fitness, fun, and philanthropy in support of Inside Out Club’s mission to help kids live each day with good character. Whether you run, walk, or stroll (strollers welcome!), this all-ages, community-friendly event has something for everyone — including a bubble tunnel at the finish line, games and more bubbles in the Kindness Village, and a free kids fun run with prize bags after the race.
It will start at 9 a.m. at Danada Forest Preserve on Naperville Road.
Early registration is $30 for ages 12 or older through Aug. 31; afterward, it is $40 or $50 on race day. It is $20 for ages 4 to 11. Little ones in strollers are free.
Race shirts are guaranteed with registration by Sept. 8 with packet pickup from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Naperville Running Company downtown.
Participants will enjoy bubbles along the race route and a celebratory bubble tunnel at the finish line. After the race, explore the Kindness Village, featuring fun, hands-on activities that inspire kindness and community connection.
There will be team awards for first place and most spirited. Individual awards will be first place overall male and female, and first place in each age group division (male and female)
Fun surprise giveaways will be handed out to participants simply for showing up with kindness and a generous spirit. No reason needed, just random acts of kindness!
One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Inside Out Club, a local nonprofit dedicated to building character and compassion in kids through social-emotional learning and volunteerism.
Funds raised help:
• Teach youth to be kind, resilient, and inclusive;
• Help teens build social confidence and life skills;
• Inspire young people to serve others and support their communities;
• Empower kids and teens with tools for strong mental health.
Gather your family, neighbors, co-workers, or sports team! Register solo or as part of a team of 4 or more. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
