Cavaco pitches Dogs to 4-1 win over Railroaders

Keoni Cavaco tossed six sparkling innings in his best start of the season to lead the Chicago Dogs to a 4-1 win over the Cleburne Railroaders.

Cavaco allowed just 2 hits, and struck out 3 in 6 innings.

The Dogs tppl the lead in the third inning on a T.J. Hopkins home run that traveled 420 feet.

Jacob Teter was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning, making it 3-0 Dogs.

Chicago would score another one that inning as Hopkins grounded into a double play, scoring Brantley Bell from third.

The Dogs will look to win the series tomorrow afternoon on a Family Sunday at Impact field, as Steven Lacey will get the ball for Chicago. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
