Enjoy ‘The Princess Bride’ under the stars at Fine Line Creative Arts Center
Last year, the Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles partnered with AfterImage Film Festival to create Best of Fest 2024, an outdoor evening featuring a selection of the best short films from the 2024 edition of the AfterImage Film Festival.
The event was so much fun that these two not-for-profit organizations have come together again, this time for a screening of Rob Reiner’s 1987 classic film “The Princess Bride” on Saturday, Aug. 9.
Starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, and many more, this film is a wonderful fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince and a beautiful princess.
As well as the film, the evening will include great food to purchase from Le Truff Noir, along with beer and wine. No outside food or drink allowed.
The doors open at 7 p.m., and the screening will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. There is ample free on-site parking.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 7 p.m. to secure their spot on the grass and enjoy food and wine before the screening starts. Please bring blankets, lawn chairs, and friends for a memorable summer night watching a classic movie with good company.
Tickets cost $20 per person and can be purchased online at fineline.org/products/film-fest-2025 or by calling Fine Line at (630) 584-9443) during 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located at 37W570 Bolcum Road, just west of Randall Road in St. Charles.
