Gurnee man charged in burglary

A Gurnee man was arrested following an overnight burglary on the 5200 block of Grand Avenue. The burglary occurred around 1:15 a.m. this Thursday.

Gurnee police responded after receiving an alarm notification from the business. The man attempted to flee from the officers who arrived on scene, leading to an on-foot pursuit.

Officers quickly apprehended 31-year-old Enosh Mekson and took him into custody. He has been charged with theft, damage to property, resistance and obstruction.

He appeared in court Thursday morning at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
