Aurora firefighter hurt battling Monday night house fire
An Aurora firefighter suffered a shoulder injury while battling a house fire Monday evening that left the home uninhabitable.
Firefighters were called to the one-story, single-family home on the 1400 block of Crestwood Drive just after 7:30 p.m.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in 22 minutes and fully extinguish it after 30 minutes on scene.
Fire officials said a firefighter injured his shoulder removing a window during the initial attack. He was taken to a hospital, treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
