Stan’s Donuts & Coffee to open new location in Naperville

A grand opening celebration for Stan’s Donuts & Coffee’s new location in Naperville’s Block 59 is set for Aug. 9.

Starting at 6 a.m., the first 100 guests in line will receive a limited-edition Stan’s T-shirt and a chance to win the “Golden Donut,” earning free doughnuts for life, at the shop at 408 S. Route 59.

Three doughnut boxes will contain a special surprise: the Golden Donut; a certificate for a KitchenAid Mixer; and a framed print of artist Julia Hagens’ painting of Stan’s original Wicker Park shop in Chicago.

Stan’s founder and master baker Rich Labriola will be on-site during the grand opening. The Naperville store is the first of two new locations debuting this summer and marks the 18th stand-alone Stan’s Donuts & Coffee shop.

Labriola, of Labriola Baking Company, opened the first Stan’s Donuts & Coffee in Chicago in 2014, in partnership with Stan Berman, founder of the iconic Los Angeles shop that bore his name. Since then, Stan’s has grown to 30 shops in the Chicago area.
